Blender MCP scene out
WhenUse when a Blender scene must be blocked, shaded, lit, framed, or rendered and Blender MCP is connected (or can be connected). Prefer this over dumping long `bpy` scripts into the console unless MCP is unavailable.
StopPrefer MCP tools over raw Python paste; do not dump a novel-length script when a sequence of MCP calls will do. Do not start mesh work without a look-lock (see look-lock-first). Stop on license/auth walls, missing add-ons that need paid install, or destructive file overwrite without a backup `.blend`. Do not leave the scene only in memory — export and save.
Steps
- Confirm Blender MCP is connected. If not: try connect once; else branch to CLI or computer-use skill.
- Open or create a project `.blend` under a known path. Save early.
- Block geometry to the locked look: primitives, proportions, major silhouettes. Screenshot after blocking.
- Assign materials from look cues (base color, roughness, metalness). Keep names stable (`M_Wall`, `M_Floor`, …).
- Place camera and key lights to match plate camera/lighting notes. Screenshot again.
- Render a still (Eevee for speed, Cycles if quality is gated). Run a short screenshot-match against the lock.
- Export glTF and/or FBX plus the `.blend`. Write `scene/EXPORT.md` with paths and unit scale.
- Hand off export paths to engine or Three.js consumers.

Default: Grok Bot tools — GenerateImage / computerUse / browserUse / Shell / Blender MCP if connected / Screenshot. (Swap this one line for Astra / Fable / Claude.) If MCP is disconnected, fall back to Shell + Blender CLI when installed, or computer-use-3d-artist.
Done when
- Saved `.blend` plus glTF/FBX on disk.
- At least one render/screenshot compared to the look plate.
- Material and object names follow a convention.
- Export notes include scale and up-axis.
Cross-model
Recipe is fixed: MCP-first Blender drive, block → materials → camera → render → export. Only the OVEN line swaps — MCP tool names and Shell/CLI bindings follow the host; the stage order and export contract stay identical across Astra, Grok Bot, Fable, and Claude.
