# Look-lock before any mesh

## When
Use before any Blender, Unreal, Unity, Three.js, or mesh work. Trigger when the brief says "build the scene / prop / level" and no locked look plates exist yet. Also trigger when an agent opens a DCC app in the first turn.

## Stop
- Do not open Blender, Unreal, Unity, or Three until 1–3 look plates are approved or auto-locked.
- Do not generate meshes, graybox, or materials first "to save time."
- Fail the run (and report why) if the agent jumps to mesh before look-lock.
- Do not treat a moodboard collage as a lock — each plate must be a single still with readable palette and camera.

## OVEN
Default: Grok Bot tools — GenerateImage / computerUse / browserUse / Shell / Blender MCP if connected / Screenshot. (Swap this one line for Astra / Fable / Claude.)

## Steps
1. Read the brief. Extract: subject, mood, palette cues, camera height/lens, what must feel unique.
2. Generate 1–3 reference stills with GenerateImage. Prefer one hero plate + optional alt angle + optional detail/material plate.
3. Save plates to a fixed path (e.g. `look/plate-01.png`, `look/plate-02.png`) and write a one-page `look/LOOK-LOCK.md` with: palette hexes, lighting note, camera note, hard "do not" list.
4. Present plates for human approval when available. If auto-lock is allowed by the brief, lock after one self-check pass (palette readable, subject clear, no watermark junk).
5. Stamp the lock: set `look/LOCKED=true` (or equivalent marker) and refuse any DCC launch until that marker exists.
6. Only after lock: hand off to Blender / engine / screenshot-match skills. Mesh work may begin.

## Done when
- Exactly 1–3 locked stills on disk.
- `LOOK-LOCK.md` written with palette, camera, and reject list.
- No mesh/scene file created before the lock timestamp.
- Downstream agents cite the plate paths before editing geometry.

## Cross-model
Recipe is fixed: stills first, lock file, then DCC. Only the OVEN line swaps — GenerateImage becomes the host model's image tool; Screenshot/computer-use bindings follow that host. Steps, stop lines, and done-when stay identical across Astra, Grok Bot, Fable, and Claude.
